 At Heartland GoldenDoodles, we are a family-first program dedicated to raising happy, healthy, and well-adjusted Goldendoodles. Our dogs live fully as part of our family, sharing in everyday life, adventures, and routines. They spend their days exploring our acreage just outside Calgary, going for walks, swimming, playing, and cuddling, and this connection ensures our puppies grow up confident, social, and accustomed to family life from day one.

Since 2018, we’ve focused on producing F1 Goldendoodles, direct crosses between Golden Retrievers and Standard Poodles. Our puppies combine the intelligence, loyalty, and friendly nature of the Golden Retriever with the low-shedding, hypoallergenic qualities of the Poodle. Over the years, our puppies have found homes across Canada, from Vancouver to Prince Edward Island and the Northwest Territories, and we are grateful for every family we’ve been able to support in finding the perfect companion.

Health and safety are at the forefront of everything we do. Our adult dogs are tested annually for hip and elbow dysplasia, eye disease, and heart conditions to minimize hereditary risks. Puppies receive their first vaccinations and three rounds of deworming at seven weeks, along with a full physical exam to check their underbite, eyes, hips, elbows, and heart. Each puppy also leaves with a personalized Health Record booklet and a two-year health guarantee, giving families confidence and peace of mind.

We put a lot of care into socialization and early learning. Puppies are handled daily, introduced to a variety of sights, sounds, textures, and experiences, and guided through early training such as crate introduction, the “come” command, and potty routines using premium spruce shavings to encourage them to go in one spot. We practice desensitization to prepare them for vet visits and assess temperament starting at four to five weeks to help families choose the puppy that fits best with their lifestyle. Every puppy receives enrichment, toys, soft music, and gentle handling to encourage confidence and adaptability.

Families receive an extensive support system through our bi-weekly “Pup date” newsletter, which includes tips, pictures, and updates on the puppies’ growth and development. Each puppy also goes home with a comprehensive Puppy Package, including a training manual, preferred food, teething toys, a comfort item with their mother’s scent, and other tools to help them transition smoothly into their new home. We also provide guidance throughout the adoption process, from initial interviews to virtual video calls, so families can meet and select their puppy with confidence.

Our program is built on experience, honesty, and heart. We spend every day observing, playing with, and guiding our puppies to ensure they develop into well-rounded companions. The traits of our adult dogs—intelligence, gentleness, friendliness, and loyalty—are reflected in every puppy, and we are proud to see them carry these qualities into the homes they join. We also celebrate the ongoing relationships we maintain with families, receiving updates, birthday cards, and stories about how our puppies are thriving in their new homes.
